credit control officer

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a ledger of approximately 500 active accounts
- Opening of new accounts and carrying out relevant credit / background checks within appropriate timeframes
- Reconciliation of bank statements and debtor accounts
- Allocation of payments and follow up any unidentified funds
- Handling customer enquiries and processing credit claims
- Following up on outstanding / overdue invoices
- Month end closure and reporting
- Basic analysis on debtor accounts and identifying potential risk
- Occasionally assisting and working closely with other departments
- Ongoing review of current credit procedures and ensure improvements are made where required
To be considered for the role you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in credit control and managing your own ledger
- Background in high volume or fast paced environment
- Proven track record in driving productivity and maintaining strong relationships
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate level excel
