Our client is located in the inner north, a small and professional office with great opportunity available for the right candidate. This is a public tax and accounting role with a significantly large and growing client base offering a variety in your work.

The role will be responsible for liaising directly with clients, providing timely and accurate service and advice and allocating work as required. You will have responsibility for managing two junior staff members, delegating work and ensuring work outputs meet targets and deadlines

Responsibilities include:

- Meet and greet customers, be the first point of contact for clients to discuss their tax and/or accounting requirements
- Have overall responsibility for the management of approximately 2000 clients
- Provide clients with an understanding of the range of services offered
- Provide accurate and insightful tax and accounting advice to a variety of client types (including individuals and families, trusts, SME business, partnerships and SMSF clients)
- Maintain regular communication with clients (phone, email, face-to-face) in a manner that aligns with the values and professionalism of the firm
- Manage the client portal supporting processes relating to client enquiries and new work
- Lodge BAS
- Support the owner in making strategic business decisions to grow and develop the business

What skills you will need:

- A strong and confident communication style
- Ability to understand and translate client tax and accounting needs
- Ability and willingness to liaise with a very diverse range of clients
- A number of years’ experience in tax and accounting in a similar role
- Exceptional time management skills
- Skills in delegation and people management
- Attention to detail
- Experience in Handy Soft or Sage is ideal (not essential)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
