A position currently exists for an experienced Senior / Intermediate Accountant with a good grounding within the Business Services / Tax arena and a strong understanding of Xero and Cloud based accounting.

Having previous experience of working within an Australian Accountancy Practice you will bring with you not only the expertise to help service a portfolio of clients in a compliance and advisory capacity, you will also possess drive and ambition, somebody who can embrace change and work in a dynamic and driven environment.

Working closely with a Manager you will be servicing a diverse and interesting client base. Challenging consulting engagements including tax advisory work is on offer and you will be given every opportunity to build your knowledge of the businesses through direct client contact.

You will be either part way through your CA or CPA qualification or have completed.

Principal Claims Consultant - Life Insurance

Profusion Group have two positions for Life Claims Senior Professionals to work as a Principal Consultant with a leading Life Insurer.

This particular client boasts an excellent company culture with a forward thinking approach. As a result of their growth and success, they require the assistance of Life Claims Principal Consultant’s to manage the claims operations in a new strategical and technical manner.

In this role you will be responsible for providing strategic and technical management of all disputed matters across the Claims Operation.

Your Responsibilities:

- Apply sound judgement in prioritising work, assessing problems and making decisions, relating to claims
- Strong understanding of operational, controls and manage risks and issues within, agreed parameters.
- Review and management of complaints (including FOS/SCT) and litigation
- include review and management of claims files, quality and intervention reviews on claim files to ensure actions are in line with our claims philosophy and adequately address issues and actively drive claim durations,
- Make liability and payment decisions in line with delegated authority
- Attending conciliations and negotating with customers and their representatives (within discretions) settlement terms which minisimse financial loss to the client where possible
- provide training, feedback and coaching (both one on one and in group sessions), management of the career and competency framework

More about you:

- 7+ years Life Claims experience assessing Retail or Group Claims
- Exposure to litigation matters and mediation processes, including FOS and SCT
- Claims investigation expertise, including previous experience in the identification of valid and non- legitimate claims
- Advanced knowledge of product, medical, claims audit functions, system and legislation/regulations impacting the life insurance industry
- Life claims auditing and/or file review experience
- Advanced stakeholder management skills
- Legal qualifications or background would be desirable

Edmen are seeking Disability Support Workers to support adults with disabilities in the Camden area. Casual role with ample hours available. Weekly pay, no time sheets and opportunities to transition into a permanent role with our client.

In this challenging environment, staff will be required to interact with people displaying complex and challenging behaviours. You will be confident working with Behaviour Support Plans and be able to respond to behaviours in a calm and considered manner.

The job

- Provide support to adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities in a group home, in-home and respite setting
- Assist with activities of daily living, community support and empowerment
- Work with complex care needs and challenging behaviours

What you need to succeed

- Minimum 6 months paid experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Experience supporting people who have challenging behaviours
- Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and have your own car
- Experience with personal care and manual handling
- Willing to do shift work including emergency/on call work
- Hold a current First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Hold a current Working With Children Check or be willing to obtain one
- You will need the ability to be flexible and resilient in various challenging situations.
