Our client is a fast-growing FinTech start-up in the CBD. They are at the forefront of an exciting new sub-sector of FinTech and they’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team.

The Role:

They’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to help guide them through an exciting growth period. You will be there to hit the ground running whilst having an excellent grasp on the finance industry, especially in the area of Regulation & Compliance.

As the Compliance Subject Matter Expert, success will entail:

- Deep knowledge of what’s going on in the legislative and regulatory world and leverage this knowledge to capitalise on opportunities
- Conversion of legislation into deliverable solutions
- Getting customer outputs right and delivering highly effective and compliant customer solutions that meet business’s risk appetite
- Product R&D of the legislative and regulatory instruments and workflows in financial services to identify, document, build out business rules and test systems
- Key contributions to the customer education and knowledge base
- Valuable insights and advise on key product designs, input and outputs for risks, challenges and solutions


- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services - Compliance & Regulatory domain
- Background in finance is essential - ideally in wealth management and/or compliance
- Deep understanding of AFSR and/or NCCP regulatory environment, including legislative and regulatory framework, regulator intent and it’s impact of industry practice, and industry best practice standards
- Excellent with Business Needs Identification
- Experience of analysing workflow to identify areas of improvement
- Ability to guide and advise the senior business stakeholders and challenge their assumptions
- Functional and Technical Design
