HR Business Partner

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Business Partner to work with the HR Manager within the Nine Digital and Sales business. The new HR Business Partner will contribute to HR & Business strategy by helping to identify, prioritise and build organisational capability, behaviours, structures and processes.

Serving as a liaison between the assigned groups and the HR team the HR Business Partner will assess the Human Resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development, and will maintain an active presence in the business, remain up to date on the context of people issues the business is facing and represent HR on respective Senior Leadership Teams.

In addition, we are looking for someone with the ability to identify issues and use data and insights to influence solutions and outcomes that balance the requirements of the team and the business. The HR Business Partner must be able to engage effectively with leaders and peers at all levels of the organisation and demonstrate a strong commercial acumen, excellent communication, and influencing skills, and an ability to think and plan for both the short and the long term.


- Coaching leaders on people decisions that align with business strategy
- Provide performance management support to leaders and employees as required
- Lead HR processes and operating rhythms for assigned groups, including driving key people processes, performance reviews, remuneration reviews, and development plans
- Provide coaching to front-line managers and senior leaders
- Provide input into remuneration strategy
- Act as a true HR Generalist by taking a lead on specialist project work in the HR team, including;
- Support HR Management to efficiently manage and forecast the impact of people costs on the business.
- Manage specific projects as determined by the HR Managers as well as participation in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
- Continually review the inte
al and exte
al environment to improve the people practices to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition Lead, providing insight to support the attraction and selection of Talent for your business groups.
- Coach and develop junior members of the HR team

Experience required:

- Degree or certification in Human Resources Management
- 12 months experience in an HRBP role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management.
- Excellent knowledge of Australian employment law
- Ability to adopt a business, practical, common sense, consultative approach when advising on people issues
- Experience in partnering with senior business leaders to build strong relationships and align business needs and people strategy and plans
- Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, analysis and multi-tasking
- Ability to prioritise both short and long term plans

Must be able to demonstrate:

- Understanding of the commercial business and processes and the link between HR strategy and business strategy
- Knowledge of best practice principles for people practices including reward, performance management, talent development, engagement.
- Understand engagement with the ability to monitor the effect of business decisions on people and culture
- Experience in organisational change initiatives in support of business strategies
- Understanding of the exte
al marketplace and business context for decision making
- Understanding and application of coaching principles
