About the role

As an Estimator, you will report directly to the Project Manager, preparing tenders on various scale construction projects and supervising Junior Estimators. You will be expected to work a typical Monday to Friday working week.

Main Duties

- Produce estimate costs for projects
- Creating and controlling budgets
- Working from a bill of quantities
- Liaise with subcontractors through tender process
- Look at building plans/ drawing to take accurate quantities on materials
- Creating high quality submissions.

Skills and Experience Required

- Minimum of 3 years estimating
- Knowledge of commercial office projects
- Won projects up to $5million
- Attention to detail
- High standard of communication skills written and verbal
- Working under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Proficient in Databuild/ Buildsoft
- Able to read and understand residential and commercial plans

A builder who have been established for 25 years who operate in all states of Australia are a major player in the fit out and refurbishment sectors with the capabilities of delivering fitout projects up to $50M.

The company has two divisions which consists of a construction arm and a fit out and refurbishment arm, they are one of the main players in the tier 2 category with their construction arm delivering commercial/industrial projects. It is for their fit out division that they require a Contract Administrator to join the team to assist with a large retail roll out on an 8-10 week contract.

As a Contracts Administrator you will be joining a builder who has an annual T/O of over $700M and have an attractive working environment.

This is a good opportunity to join a builder who has a national presence and a permanent position could come at the end of the contract.

To be successful for this role of Contracts Administrator you will need:

- A completed Construction Management degree
- Experience with a well-known builder
- Fit out experience. Construction experience will also be considered
