Lending Specialist | Non-Bank Lender

The role:
They put the experience of each and every customer at the heart of everything they do. With this in mind, they are looking for an exceptional communicator to join the team as a Lending Specialist. To ensure a seamless and outstanding borrowing experience, you will be responsible for interacting with customers regarding their lending enquiries made via the website and over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:
Convert sales leads into applications and successful loan settlements
Follow up with new borrowers and all enquiries in a timely manner borrowers to ensure a high conversion of leads to applications
Make individual assessments on the borrowing capacity of individuals to ensure the solution offered is achievable
Adhere to KPIs, compliance obligations and the expected call quality standards
Communicate clearly and effectively at all times to ensure a positive customer experience
Stay in tune with potential
Manage and track all customer interactions
Package and prepare deals ready for the Credit Team to assess
Ensure a high level of professionalism and accuracy at all times when writing correspondence
Meet and strive to exceed sales targets
Establish and maintain working relationships with inte
al and exte
al stakeholders

Skills and Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in mortgages and lending (ideally non-bank lending) is highly desired
1-2 years’ phone-based sales experience within banking and financial services, or relevant field
Confidence in your ability to communicate professionally and deliver an unrivalled customer experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
Outstanding attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and self-manage
Ability to build engaging rapport and help to diffuse difficult or anxious customers
