Axis CNC Programmer/Machinist

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading medical device manufacturer. The company is based in North Sydney. Due to the business expansion,they are now seeking to employ a full time fully qualified CNC machinist.

THE ROLE:

The Machinist is a member of the team who carry out allocated tasks as required and completes them within the requested time frame and to the requested quality

THE CANDIDATE:

Fully Trade Qualified with more than 6 years experience in Cam programming and hands on experience in setting and operating CNC machines with Stainless Steel , Titanium and Peek materials.

Must have wide experience in machine tool strategy and be competent in setting up complex parts for machining. Essential of having experience in synchronized machining of complex parts.

Essential Criteria:

- Trade Qualified
- 6 years experience in setting and operating CNC machines
- Self Motivated & Enthusiastic
- Team Player
- Self Starting and able to work in minimal supervision
- Proficient English
- Experience and able to operate these machines below:

1) 4 I42U Quicktech 10 axes Mill/Tu
machines

2) 2 Hartford 5 axes Machining centres

3) Q10 Quicktech 5 axes Machining centre

4) Goodway SL 20 Sliding head lathe

5) Deco 10 sliding head lathe

6) Aka CNC Grinding machine

7) 2 OGP CMM measuring machines
8) 1 Citizen E20 Lathe

In this 6 month fixed term contract role you will have great opportunity to influence and make a profound impact during a time of change for the organisation and clients.
Position purpose

The role is to provide NDIS support co-ordination, through the organisation as a registered NDIS Provider, to a number of clients and exte
al clients to assist them with their transition and jou
ey through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The core responsibilities will include;

Support and provide an overview of all existing individual plans, while being the central person for all submissions and continued response to changes from the NDIS/NDIA
Assess and choose a number of mainstream, community, informal and provider options
Negotiate services to be provided and their prices, develop service agreements and create service bookings with preferred providers
Liaise with any plan manager to establish the appropriate claim categories and attribute the correct amount of funds
Link to mainstream or community services (i.e. housing, education, transport, health)
helping participants decide on what actions to take to achieve goals in relation to exploring housing options and life transition planning.”
Strengthen and enhance Individuals / families and carers capacity to coordinate supports, self-direct and manage supports and participate in the community, including providing participants with assistance to resolve problems

To be successful you will have:

A genuine empathy with and understanding of persons with intellectual disabilities is essential along with;
Willingness to work in an environment supporting adults with profound and complex intellectual disabilities with a good understanding of the NDIS.
Good attention to details and someone who is process focus - handling multiple priorities
Have excellent customer focussed communication.
Demonstrated experience in administrative duties- including record keeping and accurate recording of information
Strong inte
al and exte
al communications, including process documentation
Ability to understand financial implications of budgets and funding levels
Willingness to travel locally with use of your own vehicle, if participant requires at home co-ordination visit.

These enterprise products are used worldwide servicing the telecommunications, finance and government sectors. With a strong focus on real-time & multi-threaded software development you will work with a small, but demanding group of technical and non-technical users. This growing team seeks a highly talented C and C++ software engineer that enjoys developing networking applications and implementing protocols. Inherently, the ideal candidate will need to have experience working with either PostgreSQL or non-SQL database products (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra) as you will be working with DB internals.

This is not a traditional development environment. Our client’s goal is to get from idea to implementation as quickly as possible, while maintaining high quality and reliability. Developers typically work independently on a mix of short term (1-2 days), mid term (1-3 week) and long term (1-6 month) projects. To work in this fast paced, dynamic, and demanding environment you must be an exceptional C and C++ programmer interested in using modern programming techniques.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Developing new software as well as enhancing existing systems

- Working with distributed, multi-threaded systems with a strong emphasis on performance and latency

- Developing real-time & multi-threaded code for Linux environments

- Implementing variety of networking protocols (e.g. P2P, UDP, TCP/IP and several others)

- Fast paced development environment.

- A very technical role - 30% analysis, 70% programming.

Requirements of the Candidate include:

- 4+ years of professional C/C++ programming experience in a Linux/UNIX environment (open to junior and senior candidates)

- Good C and C++ programming skills

- Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or closely related field.

- Genuine interest in big data as well as some prior experience with PostGres or non-SQL databases

- Open source mindset
