The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Accountant - Tax & Business Services to join this reputable Top 50 Accounting practice based in the Sydney CBD. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, enthusiastic professional with a desire to expand their knowledge in multiple areas of accounting and tax.

The work at the firm is varied and challenging, with clients’ needs ranging from Tax Compliance, Business Advisory to Commercial support for ASX listed companies.

Key Duties:

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax retu
s for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
- BAS, GST, FBT retu
s
- Monthly accounts management including balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, intercompany loan accounts, bank reconciliation and payment processing
- Preparation of monthly management reporting
- Liaising with clients and maintaining relationships with exte
al stakeholders, such as the ATO, ASIC and Auditors

The Ideal Candidate:

- Minimum 1-2 years experience in Accounting Public Practice
- Degree qualified in Accounting (undergraduate is considered)
- Minimum Credit average
- Commenced and working towards your CPA / CA qualification
- Sound knowledge of income tax, GST and accounting standards
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work to a deadline in a fast paced environment
- Xero & MYOB experience
- Microsoft Office experience

ABOUT US: Gidgee Healing is a dynamic Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that provides a comprehensive and growing range of primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people residing in the Mt Isa, North West and Lower Gulf of Carpentaria regions. We provide General Practice, maternal and child health, social and preventative health, health promotion and education, allied health and specialist services. Gidgee Healing is also the lead agency for headspace Mount Isa and the Normanton Recovery and Community Wellbeing Service. Our organisation strives to enhance the accessibility and uptake of health services in our communities, providing early identification and management of STIs and chronic disease to ensure our families stay healthy and well. THE OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking a nurse to implement an STI screening program in Gidgee clinics and remote communities. You will work with Gidgee’s multidisciplinary teams to: Embed appropriate screening activities and STI management in young adult health checks across Gidgee clinics Organise and deliver young adult health check clinics in Doomadgee and Mornington Island Collaborate with the Deadly Choices team to enhance and maintain STI screening in the community Work with QAIHC staff on the peer education program Collaborate with regional stakeholders to develop a secure data sharing platform to drive an increase in STI screening levels to agreed targets Hold an annual planning and feedback workshop with all collaborating service providers Based in Mount Isa, this position will provide a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of primary health care innovation and excellence in remote Australia. Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting prospective factual investigators (for an immediate start) to work with our established team on a full time basis. We will also consider applicants who are not currently industry licensed who have relevant tertiary qualifications (Law, Jou
alism etc) or an Insurance claims background, who have a desire to begin a career as an investigator. CTP claims experience will be highly regarded in consideration of applicants for this position.

This role is suitable for an individual with a desire to get broad exposure to the investigation industry. The successful applicant will be exposed to all facets of our investigation business whilst receiving train with a view to becoming a full time field investigator. The role will be office based for the first 3-6 months with a view to transitioning to the field full time.

We will also be providing an opportunity to work with our desktop Intelligence team and gain experience in essential IT based investigation tools.

Our investigative lines of work include Personal Injury, Intellectual Property, Product & Public Liability, Motor accident and Fraud-related investigations.

The Role

The investigator role will involve investigation activities such as interviewing, documentation gathering & researching, scene assessment and third party liaison. You will work closely with management in organising investigation workflows, time frames and client requirements.

The role will require attendance at various locations, predominantly within the Sydney metropolitan area but with a proportion of work across New South Wales as required.

Our Head Office is based in Alexandria but, dependent upon experience, the requirement to attend the office is flexible depending on the candidates training needs, contract of employment and demonstrated ability to work autonomously.

Essentials:

- A degree in a construction management or related field
- 5 + Years experience as a Senior Project Engineer working on large construction projects in Australia.
- If you have been a Project Engineer for 4 years and looking for a step up this is an option also
- Need to be able to run meetings, manage design, develop and manage QA (ITP’s)
- Ability to read Cheops cost reports preferred
- Proficiency in MS Project essential
- Strong understanding of OH&S procedures and compliance
