Our Federal Gove
ment client is seeking 6 x Customer Advice Officers (APS 2 equivalent) for an initial 12-month contract, with an option for two 6 x month extensions. You will be responsible for actioning routine advice requests and applications for a broad range of individuals, small businesses and their representatives.

Duties & Tasks:

- Apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures to provide accurate, timely, consistent and appropriate information to applicants through a variety of channels.
- Assess applications and request supporting documents as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation and policy.
- Analyse multiple information sources and use judgement to determine the authenticity of applications, including supporting documents, to make independent decisions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and stakeholders by understanding the client’s circumstances, explaining information, negotiating outcomes, and providing appropriate advice solutions.
- Embrace a phone first culture using highly developed telephony techniques.
- Record client interactions in business systems to provide a clear and accurate history of actions taken and/or advice provided.
- Tailor communication, presentation and language styles according to the needs of the individual and/or audience.
- Prioritise own work to ensure accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements and seek help from others when needed.
- Follow escalation procedures to ensure that, when necessary, urgent, complex or sensitive enquiries and applications are brought to the senior officer/ senior staff.
- Participate in the development and training activities of the work area and take steps to identify and meet lea
ing and development needs of self and others to assist them to make high quality decisions.

Skills & Ability:

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary cross site team environment, and actively participate in and support team work and group activities.
- Manage a large work volumes, adhering to agreed assessment targets, timeframes and the Quality Assurance framework and benchmarks.
- Proficiency in the use of digital services including online services and apps across a range of devices.
